After returning to the port, the excursion continues with a guided tour of Leuca: its nineteenth-century villas in the Liberty style, the historic bathing huts known as bagnarole, the Sanctuary of Santa Maria De Finibus Terrae, the lighthouse and the terminal column of the Apulian Aqueduct with its splendid staircase.

Departing from Porto Cesareo, choose between sailing north to Punta Prosciutto or heading south to the beautiful coves of Porto Selvaggio.

In a single morning, sail along the 30 km of coastline that make up the Marine Protected Area, from Porto Cesareo to Punta Prosciutto.

Planned stops during the excursion:

• Torre Castiglione and Punta Prosciutto: a swimming stop in what is considered one of Puglia’s most beautiful stretches of sea.
• Isola della Chianca: a second swimming stop in Caribbean-like waters no more than one and a half metres deep.
• Greek and Roman columns: admire one of Italy’s oldest underwater archaeological sites from the boat or while snorkelling.
• Isola dei Conigli: the final stop offers a short walk to discover the vegetation and the many coves of this little paradise.

A nature guide provides detailed information throughout the itinerary. Snorkelling masks, chilled drinks and an aperitif with savoury snacks are provided.

Travel on the only boat authorised to offer fishing tourism activities in the Porto Cesareo Marine Protected Area. The crew provides all fishing equipment on board.

Fishing technique: bolentino, or bottom fishing with a rod or handline. After fishing, enjoy two swimming stops in two beautiful coves of the Porto Cesareo Marine Protected Area.

During the second stop, your catch is cooked and served with a selection of local fish specialities.
